United Way Grants

United Way recognizes that we have a key role in assisting our member agencies and the community in times of emergency. United Way agencies provide vital services to people in need and most resources are allocated to existing services. It is necessary to provide an alternative for developing new and innovative programs, a method to meet new and emerging needs and the capability to assist the community in times of natural disasters.

United Way of Douglas & Pope Counties has a grant program to fund agencies with new or unexpected needs.  There are two categories of grants:

Special Grants – to provide one-time funding for innovative programs outside of the allocation process

Emergency Grants – to provide emergency funding for agency emergencies and local natural disasters.
