Free
groceries!! The Community Impact Coalition has been working
to reduce hunger in Douglas County and provide for
additional ways to distribute food to individuals and
families with immediate needs.
The
mobile food drop will be on December 16, from 12 - 3 pm
at the New Life Christian Church, 1910 Hwy 27 E,
Alexandria. Forty-eight thousand pounds of food will be
brought in by North Country Food Bank, Inc. to be
distributed.
There
is no age, or income qualifier. Distribution begins at 1 pm
until all the food is gone. There will be additional food
drops scheduled throughout the year.
Participants are asked to bring their own boxes and baskets
to carry food in.
