Every community has its leaders who
generously donate their time, talent and financial resources
to human service organizations, civic groups, education and
the arts. These individuals provide a foundation of
strength upon which our community has been able to grow,
thrive and respond to the needs of our residents.
In 1997
several local community leaders established the United Way’s “Leadership in Giving” program with the
belief that leading by example would inspire friends, peers
and associates to step forward to make a difference.
Since
then, “Leadership in Giving” has continued to grow,
significantly strengthening our community by increasing the
ability of United Way funded agencies to provide needed
services.
As
government funding declines, local needs will, without a
doubt, continue to increase. However, through the commitment
and generosity of individuals like you, our community will
be able to offer a quality of life for our families,
friends, neighbors and employees that we can all be proud
of.
If you are
currently a Leadership Giver, a sincere thanks goes out to
you on behalf of thousands of local recipients. If you are
not a Leadership Giver, please consider a gift today.
