GOLF CLASSIC

The 9^th Annual United Way Golf Classic was a huge success.  Thirty two teams played at the Geneva Golf Course on June 15^th.  

Participants enjoyed a wonderful day of golf, good food and an opportunity to support the work of the United Way of Douglas and Pope Counties.

First Place Team, Central Office Solutions

Duane Tallifer, Scot Stockmo, Chris Behrens, Jeff Bigger

The winning team from Central Office Solutions was made up of Duane Tallifer, Chris Behrens, Scot Stockmo and Jeff Biggar.  The grand prize of a year’s membership donated by Geneva Golf Club was won by Andy Langenfeld.

Individual golf winners were:  

• longest putt men/women-Jim Stratton/Amanda Marks

• longest drive men/women-Sam Steidl/Jessica Nelson

• closest to the pin men/women-Pete Woit/Patty Peterson

Raffle winners were:

• Maria Kirschbaum won the 40” LCD HDTV from Cullen’s on the raffle.

• Kari Nelson won one night’s stay at the Labougue and 2 tickets to the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre which were donated by KIKV.  

• Henry’s Food and American Foods group each donated large meat packages which were won by Sandy Larson, Bev Claussen-Kieffer, and Chris Haugen.

• Jessica Nelson and Tim Bush each won sets of 4 tickets to the Minnesota Twins. Brad Anderson won 5 cases of beer donated by Beverage Wholesalers.

• Stan Finnestad won one night’s stay and 4 water park passes donated by Arrowwood.
