United Way of Douglas & Pope Counties is a non-profit organization that depends on volunteers in the community to help raise awareness and resources. 

It's run by a volunteer Board of Directors along with over 700 plus community volunteers who give their time and talents throughout the year. 

If you're an individual looking to serve, we can provide you with many rewarding volunteer opportunities.

Volunteer Opportunities:
 

Allocation Committee
(30 hours over 2 months)

Evaluates and recommends funded agencies

 

Board of Directors
(3 hours per month)
 Sets policy, approves day to day United Way activities

 

Fundraising
(Various hours during campaign)

Business solicitations, campaign committees

 

Special Events & Communications
(Various hours during campaign)

Advertising, decorations, event planning

 

Special Programs (Various hours during the year)

Holiday Gifts for Kids, Coats for the Community, Week of Caring
